From July 10 to 14, 2023, a study visit of researchers participating in the international Erasmus+ team of the DEFEP project “Distance education for future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market” took place at the Saarland University in Germany. The meetings were attended by representatives of partner universities from Ukraine and Moldova.

During the week, the European colleagues conducted a number of practical workshops for the participants of the visit, organized interesting discussions and informative presentations of best practices in the development of higher education, including distance education.

At the time of the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to learn about real cases of European experience in distance education implemented at German universities, exchange views and share their own vision of further development of higher education in the era of digitalization.

In addition, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the university campus, visit the UniGR-Center for Border Studies; learn more about the university structure, its history and traditions.

The project participants express their sincere gratitude to Professor Astrid Fellner, her team and the Saarland University for the rich days of research, training and cooperation.
