From September 20 to 22, 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 DEFEP project, “Distance Education for Future: Best EU Practices in Response to the Requests of Modern Higher Education Seekers and Labor Market”, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “TRANSFORMATIONS OF PERSONALITY, SOCIETY AND THE LABOR MARKET: FUTURE CHALLENGES AND IMPACT ON EDUCATION” was held.
The purpose of the conference was to unite the efforts of educators, scientists, representatives of business, the state, and civil society in Ukraine, Moldova, and EU countries to generalize their experiences and determine the prospects for the further development of the education system in the context of modern and future challenges.
The conference was organized by partner universities of the DEFEP international project from Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Co-organizers included the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian public organization “Innovative University,” and the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Educational Analytics” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The conference was held in a hybrid format at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and covered a wide range of topics, including the digitalization of the modern world, modernization of the economy, business and finance, socio-political aspects of transformations in the globalized world, transformations of the individual and society in the context of history, philosophy, humanities, and cultural studies, psychological aspects of transformations of the individual and society, as well as vectors of innovation in education in the national and global context.
The event concluded with a round table discussion involving employers, where various industry experts discussed the interaction and partnership between business and education in the context of modern challenges.
In total, 514 people participated in the conference, with 150 of them present both offline and online. Others submitted papers for publication in the conference abstracts collection. The practices, results, recommendations, and proposals presented at the conference will be processed by the organizers and used in the process of working on reforming, improving, and implementing distance education as a separate and independent form of education.
