From 2 to 6 October 2023, the Ukrainian and Moldovan teams of the international project DEFEP Erasmus+ KA2 “Distance education for future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market” visited the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (Spain).
The main purpose of the visit was to study the experience of using screen arts (movies, videos) in the process of distance education.
The DEFEP project team at URJC, headed by Coordinator Jorge de Latorre, prepared an extremely interesting and rich program, during which the participants from Petro Mohyla BSNU learned about:
experience in organizing distance education at URJC;
the scientific and educational environment at URJC in the context of the development of distance learning;
URJC in the context of distance learning development;
the specifics of the application of synchronous and asynchronous training;
methods of involvement in online classes;
using video resources for learning through the MOOC platform.
An extremely useful addition to the workshops and seminars was a visit to the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) – La Universidad en Internet, which is introducing exclusively online learning and is a leader in the Spanish-language learning environment, and the Center for Educational Innovation and Digital Education of the URJC, wherevideo and film content is created for the educational process.
The team of the project expresses its sincere gratitude to Jorge de Latorre, Clare Cannon, Gabriel Alfaro і Ana Esther Santamaria for preparing and organizing the visit and for their invaluable experience in implementing distance education, which Ukrainian and Moldovan partner universities will adapt and implement within the project.2
